HOW THE WORKSHOP WORKS?

During the week in the workshop you will have the opportunitty to lead at least one small group session with the maximum duration of 2 hours.

The role of the instructors

Instructors will work with you as facilitators, not teachers. In this model a facilitator is designed to support and challenge the learner's thinking and to help the learner to get to his or her own understanding of the content by playing an active role in the learning process.

Your role as participant

We believe that this approach will help you to learn by teaching, achieving a maximum gain for you and your colleagues during the workshop and also will give you the opportunitty to exercise teaching techniques that will help you to share EBM content with your colleagues when you get back home.

Thus, your group will become responsible for your own learning and teaching. The teaching material will be improved, customized or created as a process of a teamwork. The participants will be divided into small groups. Teaching material that will be used in your session may be focused in any area of EBM. You are free to choose the content of each session, and how you are going to divide your time.

You do not need to worry about language barriers, shyness or any other factor that you may think would be a limitation for you. No one will be testing your capacity or your background knowledge but every one will take advantage of the environment that you with the help of your tutors will create for your small group making everyone to feel confortable with the unknown.

Local Rio and Sao Paulo tutors will be there to facilitate your learning process and your comunication with the international tutors.
