Andréa Ferreira Haddad is graduated in Medicine at Severino Sombra University in 1996 and performed her residence in Cardiology at Santa Casa RJ and of Pró-Cardíaco/PROCEP. She is board certified in Cardiology by Brazilian Medical Association/ Brazilian Cardiology Society. She is currently ongoing her Master Degree Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and is Manager of Research at National Institute of Cardiology. She is also Medical Staff of the Emergency Department of Casa de Saúde São José, RJ. She has experience with Clinical Cardiology, Intensive Care Unit, Clinical Research and Translational Research. She has been instructor of the Brazilian Workshop of Evidence-Based Clinical Practice for Decision-Making since 2006 and has taught evidence-based clinical practice at workshops in Brazil.

Daniel C Bezerra is graduated in Medicine at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in 2000 and pursued a residency in Neurology at Hospital Universitario Clementino Fraga Filho from the same University. He underwent a fellowship in Cerebrovascular Diseases at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV) in Lausanne, Switzerland, during 2004 and 2005. He concluded a Master of Sciences Degree in Public Health and Epidemiology at Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) in 2008, and is currently ongoing a PhD in Epidemiology in this institution. He is instructor of the Brazilian Workshop of Evidence-Based Clinical Practice for Individual Decision-Making and Health Management from 2006 through the present. He is currently working as a neurologist at Pro-Cardiaco Hospital and at Hospital dos Servidores do Estado, pursuing research mainly in epidemiology and vascular neurology.

She is currently Manager of Research & Development at the Teaching and Research Center of Pró-Cardíaco/PROCEP and ongoing PhD in Health Technology Assessment at FioCruz. She has experience with Intensive Care, Coronary Care and Translational Research. She initiated and serves as coordinator of the Brazilian Workshop of Evidence-Based Clinical Practice for Decision-Making from 2006 through the present. She is instructor of International Workshops at New York Academy of Medicine and at McMaster University and has taught evidence-based clinical practice at workshops in Brazil and as Auxiliary Professor of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro."
